Bell Ringing

West Virginia University commemorates current students who have passed away by holding a Memorial Bell Ringing ceremony.

This ceremony is coordinated by the Office of Campus and Community Life and Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity. The event is typically held once per semester. It is located at Oglebay Plaza in front of the U.S.S. West Virginia. The U.S.S. West Virginia is ceremoniously rung prior to the event’s start which is typically at noon.

Family, friends and members of the University community are welcome to attend.
