Students experiencing an illness or injury that necessitates a hospital stay may
benefit from working with the Advocacy Center. We can assist by helping students
to understand the
academic absence policies and options, developing a plan to catch up on school
work, and assure that the student is aware of available resources for recovery
and return to classes. We encourage students that miss class to speak with their
instructors directly; however, if the student is finding difficulty with navigating
the absence policies or expressing themselves, we are happy to meet with the
student and provide help in these areas. Students may be eligible for accommodations
pertaining to academics, on-campus housing, or transportation as outlined by
the
Office of Student Accommodations.
